It is always great to see a local musician do well, and many of us have watched Andy McKee’s career reach ever higher achievements. He has recently added his talents to an all guitar recording being put together be Lee Ritenaur.

“We’re happy to announce the album is underway. “Six String Theory” features superstar guitarists from the worlds of rock, blues, country, jazz/fusion, acoustic, and classical/flamenco. The album, co-produced by Ritenour and Concord Records Executive VP John Burk, will be released on Concord Records in the summer of 2010. In December, 2009 we recorded tracks featuring Lee Ritenour, John Scofield, Mike Stern, and Keb Mo. This January we will be recording with BB King, Taj Mahal, George Benson, Pat Martino, Steve Lukather, Neal Schon, Guthrie Govan, and Andy McKee.”
